Mantenimientos de concesionario, ¿Necesario?
Para todo el mundo, tener un carro 0 Km es algo espectacular (claro excepto los que les guste las motos y odien los carros 😣), ese olor a nuevo y poder tener el lujo de estrenarlo tú; claro así mismo eres el encargado de los gastos comunes como SOAT, seguros, matrícula y más. ¿En qué momento nos enseñan sobre los mantenimientos del carro 🤷♂️?
¿Qué toca llevarlo a concesionario 😯?, ¿Qué tiene un valor aun teniendo garantía 🙃?, son cosas con las que se encuentras los conductores de carros nuevos al momento de sus mantenimientos preventivos y "obligatorios" y que no calculamos al momento de realizar una compra de automóvil.

Mantenimientos preventivos
Vamos a tomar casos generales, de los carros más vendidos en Colombia, para dar un panorama general de como es el tema del primer mantenimiento de un carro 0 km.
Chevrolet, Renault y Kia, con sus líneas de Spark GT, Clio Style Sport y Picanto ion respectivamente manejas reglas diferentes y también costos 💸. Chevrolet le dice a sus clientes que deben ir al taller cada 5.000 km (la primera vez con un precio promedio de $206.000 ); Renault cada 10.000 km (la primera vez con un precio de $264.000 ); y Kia a los 5.000 km o seis meses, lo primero que ocurra (la primera vez con un precio de $436.000 pesos).
Y que tal una ojeada 👀 a los hatchback de gama media, el Ford Fiesta SE debe ir al taller cada 8.000 km o seis meses (lo primero que ocurra), el Mazda 2 Touring cada 5.000 km y el Volkswagen Polo cada 7.500 km o un año (lo primero que suceda).

Con está primer ojeada podemos observar como cambian los tiempos de manteniendo y los precios de cada uno. Pensemos que son carros que están a esfuerzos de igual medida; vamos a ver otras líneas para saber como se comportan y ver que hacen en las revisiones de una manera general.
¿Qué incluye una revisión de concesionario?
Por un lado tenemos a Chevrolet que se encarga del cambio de aceite, sus respectivos filtro y tapón del cárter, además de una revisión de frenos. En la otra esquina 🥊 tenemos a Renault, que además de hacer lo mismo te ofrece rotación de llantas y revisión del sistema eléctrico y electrónico. Y en el otro lado tenemos a Kia que agrega alineación y balanceo y un tipo de aceite especial, y con gusto te completa los niveles de liquido.
Y que tal un ejemplo más puntual, y con Nissan; $242.819 cuesta la revisión del Versa 🚘, e incluyen el cambio de aceite, filtro y tapón del cárter, revisión de fluidos, inspección y limpieza del filtro de aire, alineación, revisión y limpieza de pastillas de frenos, revisión de llantas y presión, mantenimiento de la batería y revisión del funcionamiento de los indicadores del tablero.

En la revisión del Ford Fiesta SE, el cambio de aceite y filtro, revisión de llantas e “Inspección Ford” de 35 puntos cuesta $263.000.
Y otro gran jugador es Volkswagen, que en la primera revisión del Polo, en la cual al cambio de aceite y filtros le suman alineación, balanceo, rotación de llantas, revisión de suspensión, frenos y sistema eléctrico, entre otros suma un total de $598.000.
Finalmente están los sedanes de la llamada gama media-alta 💁♂️, como el Chevrolet Cruze, el Mazda 3 Grand Touring y el Volkswagen Jetta Highline 2.5. Líneas muy comercializadas en Colombia.
Cuando llevas tu Cruze a la primera revisión tiene una lista como el cambio de aceite y filtro, cambio de filtro del aire (si es necesario) y revisión de frenos, batería y sistema eléctrico, todo por alrededor de $200.000.

Y si hablamos del Mazda 3 necesitará el cambio de aceite y filtro por un valor aproximado de $151.000; por otro lado El Volkswagen Jetta, según datos, le hacen una revisión profunda que incluye cambio de aceite y filtro, cambio del filtro de aire, revisión de luces, del sistema eléctrico y de la suspensión, limpieza de frenos, alineación y balanceo, lubricación de herrajes de las sillas y ajuste de la carrocería, entre otros. Su precio es de $651.108.
¿Realmente qué mantenimiento necesita un carro nuevo?
En cuanto al aceite del motor, es sabido que puede durar 10.000 kilómetros (como lo siguiere Renault) sin problema, con la opción de realizar el cambio a alrededor de los 8.000 km en caso de condiciones de operación más “pesadas”, en tanto que revisiones como las de mirar testigos de tablero o niveles de líquidos las puede hacer el propietario sin necesidad de ir a un taller especializado.
Empecemos por el cambio de aceite de nuestro carro, es muy común que la recomendación sea alrededor de los 10.000 Km, y no se tiene un tema de tiempo por el momento; y algo más sencillo aun es la revisión visual de los testigos de tu carro (prenden 🔴 o no prende 🟢) y los líquidos como freno, refrigerante y otros, que puedes hacer tu 🙋♀️desde tu casa, sin pagar por eso.

Revisiones como la alineación y balanceo, limpieza de frenos, ajuste de suspensión o inspección de la batería y sistema eléctrico tal vez no se puedan hacer en casa, pero sí es fácil identificar si el carro las requiere o no. Y seguramente, a menos que se haya sometido a esas “situaciones extremas” que mencionamos, no lo hará a los 5.000, 10.000 o incluso 15.000 km.
Y las cosas que no puedes hacer en casa 🙅♀️, cosas como la alineación y balanceo, limpieza de frenos, ajuste de suspensión o inspección de la batería y sistema eléctrico, pero puedes identificar si tu carro lo necesita o no, y a no ser que sometas tu carro a situaciones extremas no lo hará a los 5.000, 10.000 o incluso 15.000 km.
Y bueno, ¿vale o no la pena llevarlo al concesionario?, aunque sea un tema donde algunos prefieran no, y otros si, lo que estamos seguros es que los mantenimientos en concesionarios pueden superar por mucho, los costos de los talleres calificados en Colombia.
Muchas personas descansan cuando termina su garantía por que quedan libres de llevar su carro a su mecánico de confianza (si es que antes ya no lo habían hecho)
